Fox River Paddle, Algonquin dam to Veterans Memorial Park, September 3, 2016

We can meet at Clock Tower (South East lot) at 8 am. and then carpool and leave at 8:15am with hope to be at the Algonquin dam by 9:30ish, Or you can meet us at the Algonquin dam.  The address to the Algonquin dam is 101 La Fox River Dr, Algonquin, IL 60102 (or if you have a GPS 42.165294, -88.291067).    We will shuttle down to the Veterans Memorial Park (next to Gail Borden Public Library in Elgin) take out by 10 AM hope to get on the water by 10:30ish.  This will be around 10.5 miles with a small earthen dam portage in Carpentersville.  Lunch will be somewhere along the way just not sure where yet.  After all this is the first time we have done this paddle on the Fox River from the Algonquin dam to Veterans Memorial Park.  Kevin Seuring will be hosting this paddle and Jeff Reuter will co-host it.  For more info call Jeff at 815-494-8502.  There is an attached map of where we will be.

The usual rules apply including but not limited to: Participants provide their own suitable canoe or kayak, paddle(s), PFD/approved life jackets, and wear PFD on water Minors must be accompanied by responsible adult Adults must sign in on waiver sheet Hydration/drinking water BYO Lunch, BYO Dump bag – Dry bag w/change of clothing
