Yahara River Paddle
Sunday, July 17’th from Stebbenville, WI to Rock River
Car Shuttle at 10:30 am at put in at Stebbensville road, take out at Rock River at H. This is a 9 mile paddle. We will stop at the park in Fulton for Lunch.
Directions from I90: Take 14 west at Janesville to H, turn right (heading north) on H. Take H all the way into Fulton, left on Caledonia road, right on Wallin road, left on Stebbensville road, the put in is about a mile and a half down the road. Map attached.
The usual rules apply including but not limited to: Participants provide their own suitable canoe or kayak, paddle(s), PFD/approved life jackets, and wear PFD on water Minors must be accompanied by responsible adult Adults must sign in on waiver sheet Hydration/drinking water BYO Lunch, BYO Dump bag – Dry bag w/change of clothing

Trip Report:
At first we canceled this trip because there was a severe thunder storm warning and the forecast looked bad all day. After the storm when thought the skies clear and the weather forecast was change to not raining again until 4 PM. We then when paddled anyhow with the car shift at 10:30. As it was the paddle had no rain at all. We saw one bald eagle and many blue herons and it was a great paddle. The river conditions where 111 CFS at a height of 4.88 Ft at Farland. It must cloud with a high of 80.
